A Grand and Spacious Ballroom
Following a site visit and measure, Owner Ian Williams and his General Manager Lisa Morris met with me at the showroom to look at the carpet samples I’d selected in advance of their visit. They wanted a pattern with a practical mix of colours and my first thoughts were with our wool Axminster collections, all suitable for their intended use for a very large 300m2 multi purpose function room. I recommended the carpet be fitted on a durafit system, this type of installation uses an underlay which gives a noticeably more luxurious feel than a gel back alternative.
They both immediately liked the wool tartan collection after having experience of this range which we installed in another, very busy part of the hotel some years ago. After looking at the other options selected the quote for the Tartan axminster was accepted and the carpet ordered. Timing was critical as the installation had to fall between two large events.
We were given our window and with some tweaking my team of three commercial flooring fitters completed with time to spare and the room was transformed.
